SUMMER UNI LONDON

Forty thousand young Londoners can enrol on free summer courses throughout June, July and August this year. The Summer Uni London programme offers a choice of 1000 subjects ranging from belly dancing and Japanese to rowing and business studies.
Held in all 32 London boroughs, the courses are available for young people between the ages of eight and 25, and last from one hour to six weeks. There are extra places for young people with special needs, and female- and male-only courses. To enrol, please visit the website for details. |

In a pre-Notting Hill warm-up, Alexandra Palace hosts the Grand Carnival Costume Splash. Take a sneaky peak at the elaborate costumes to be paraded at Notting Hill's upcoming carnival and hot up on mask making and the latest dance moves.

Liberty Festival in London's Trafalgar Square will celebrate disabled people's input into the capital's culture, featuring them performing, singing, dancing and acting. Your can expect an influx of arts as the London Trafalgar Square for a day will become a zone for street arts, comedy, music and amazing children's activities.
There will be stalls and food also available, so Liberty London festival 2009 is a perfect piece of free entertainment for family and friends! Trafalgar Square in London, which was built to commemorate Nelson's victory at the battle of Trafalgar in 1805, is a spacious and beautiful part of the London city to meet friends, family and at the same time share the sunshine with those who instigated the Liberty festival in London.
