This project gave it's participants an introduction to film & music production. A short documentary was then produced which examines the experiences of young people within the care system. The final product will be a valuable training aid for staff (carers) and will be used as a widespread tool not just for the Looked After Children (LAC) service and other agencies. Hackney also commissioned YSN to create, design and manage the red carpet premiere evening which featured a screening, formal dinner, live entertainment and celebrity guests.

"Very enjoyable evening.  The video was very informative and should be used as a training tool for future use with professionals."
(Shirley - Team Manager Social Workers)

The film was excellent!  I came away thinking about the importance of what I do in caring for a young person who is not able to live with his family and I hope that whoever watches this film in the future will also come away thinking about their role and how they can do this better. The event itself was absolutely fabulous, we enjoyed the evening very much.   There was clearly a lot of time and energy involved in creating such an event.
(Sam - Foster Carer)

"Video Fantastic, Evening brilliant - good way to show the young people that their efforts & time are appreciated, that they have a voice and can communicate effectively."
(Amelda - Local Govt Officer)
